Friday Things #595 – Brown Eyed Baker

1. Dominic signed up for school band and is playing the trumpet ๐Ÿ˜ My father-in-law played the trumpet and still had his original one; itโ€™s in great shape, so Dominic is able to use it!

2. Next week, Dominic will head into the hospital for another round of immunotherapy. This will be the second round of the three additional his oncologist wanted him to complete. Heโ€™s had a nice break and didnโ€™t even need weekly blood work this time. He started running cross country again and did his hockey evaluations for the upcoming season. Feeling very grateful that even though we still have two inpatient stays, life is looking much more normal than it did this time last year ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

3. We only got to the fifth day of school before I had to pick up a sick kid from the nurseโ€™s office ๐Ÿซ  Luckily, it was short-lived and doesnโ€™t appear to have hit anyone else here (*knocks on wood*), so phew!

4. Even though it was around 90 for multiple days this week, Joseph said he would love some chicken noodle soup, so I made a big pot, and it totally hit the spot for him. I was going to freeze a lot of it, but my husband and I have been enjoying it, so it may not make it to the freezer!

5. Speaking of freezing soup, I want to put my Souper Cubes to better use this fall and winter! If you have them, what are your favorite things to freeze in them? I chopped up the extra rotisserie chicken I had from the soup and packed it into the 1-cup sections for future meals.
