I know that it’s still October, but the holidays are going to be here before you know it.
Between all of the menu planning and hosting and making sure all of the details are in order, it can be easy to overlook one big thing: breakfast.
Whenever we’re hosting for the holidays, I lean heavily on make-ahead breakfast recipes. I can do the prep work the day (or more!) before, so there’s way less work to do the day of.
And trust me: No one would guess that you prepared any of these breakfast recipes ahead of time.

Even outside of the busy holiday season, planning ahead is key for any brunch.
I suggest picking 1 or 2 bigger recipes, such as breakfast casseroles or sweet rolls, that can be assembled the night before and baked the morning of.
Round out your menu with quick breads or scones—these can be made up to a month in advance and stored in the freezer until you’re ready to serve them. Add in simple items such as granola and greek yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, or fresh fruit.
If you really want to wow your guests, make a simple mimosa bar. It’ll be stunning but doesn’t require much effort to assemble!
Not hosting a brunch? If you’re the type who likes to meal prep for the week ahead, these recipes are for you, too. Bake them up and portion them into individual servings to enjoy throughout the week.

I’ve pulled together 29 of my best make-ahead breakfast recipes to get you started. From savory to sweet, fall to spring, you’ll find everything you need to plan the perfect holiday or special-occasion brunch.
